The NSfK Secretariate has moved to Denmark and Anette Storgaard, Assistant Professor of Criminal Law is now the Chair of the Council. Mette Tønder is new Executive Secretary.

The Scandinavian Research Council for Criminology's Research Seminar 2013, Methodologies and Methods, will be held in Finland, on 13-15 May 2013.

The Scandinavian Research Council for Criminology (NSfK) was established on January 1st 1962. For 50 years NSfK has been committed to the role of its charter, to further criminological research within the Scandinavian countries and advice the Scandinavian governments on issues related to criminology.

To celebrate NSfK's anniversary the Council has published Nordic Criminology in Fifty Years. This jubilee publication contains five research papers that were published in NSfK´s publications during the last 50 years.

A special Jubilee issue of the Journal of Scandinavian Studies in Criminology and Crime Prevention has now been published, to celebrate the 50 year anniversary of NSfK.

The Journal of Scandinavian Studies in Criminology and Crime Prevention seeks a new editor from January 1st 2013. The journal is for Nordic researchers who want to publish their research in English, and has two annual volumes. A third volume can be considered on special occasions.
