A workshop on environmental criminal law in the Nordic countries, initiated and funded by the Scandinavian Research Council for Criminology, was recently completed.
When the Unforeseen is Seen was a workshop on crises and society held at the University of Iceland in December 3-5, 2009, and in January 3-5, 2011.
NSfK Seminar and Work Group on Nordic Corruption met in Reykjavik 16-19 November 2011. All Nordic countries were represented at the meeting. The purpose of the meeting was to present, discuss and analyze a number of Nordic cases of local and regional corruption in public authorities.
The aim of the project was to encourage green criminological research, to publish an anthology focusing on central issues within the field, establish a Nordic network for scholars working with issues connected to the field and to organize an international conference on the central themes of green and eco-global criminology.
Nordic Police Research 2004-2009 provides an overview of and insight into the recent Nordic research on the police.
The project "Domestic cannabis in Finland and Denmark" presents its results in three articles to be published in the second half of 2011: "Medical marijuana – exploring the concept in relation to small-scale cannabis growers in Denmark", "With a little help from my friends – justifications of small-scale cannabis growers" and "Small-scale cannabis growers in Denmark and Finland".
