The next Stockholm Criminology Symposium takes place June 9-11 in Stockholm, Sweden. The main theme for the 2020 Symposium is “Gun violence: sound knowledge and countermeasures”, and the organizers welcome both speakers and delegates to register.

The Stockholm Criminology Symposium is an important international arena where criminologists, policy makers, practitioners and others engaged in criminal policy matters can take part of the latest research findings, methods and discussions of importance for crime policy. The Stockholm Prize in Criminology 2020 has been awarded Philip J. Cook and Franklin E. Zimring (USA), for their evidence-based explanations of gun policy effects. Hence, the main theme of this year’s Symposium will be “Gun violence: sound knowledge and countermeasures”.  Speakers are also welcome to submit abstracts for the recurring theme “Contemporary Criminology”.

Call for presentations and registration for speakers is open until February 27. Delegates can benefit from the Early Bird offer with reduced fee until February 27. Registration for delegates will close on May 4.
