Author guidelines for working papers 

Working papers are reports from research projects funded by NSfK that has not yet had any peer reviewed publications. The working papers share ideas, methodologies, and preliminary findings with colleagues, policymakers, and other stakeholders within the Nordic region. 

The opinions expressed in working papers are the authors’ own and do not reflect the views of the Nordic Research Council for Criminology. 

The text should be no longer than 4 pages, including references.  

The working papers should include: 

  1. Project title. Keep it short, concise and precise to attract attention and give a clear indication of the content. In general, the titles should not exceed 10-12 words.
  1. Name of the author, workplace and e-mail 
  1. Summary of 150–200 words  
  1. 3-5 keywords 
  1. Background 
  1. Nordic relevance 
  1. Recommendations 
  1. Outputs 
  1. Knowledge gaps and future research needs 
  1. Reference. All references should be listed alphabetically in full at the end of the article in standard. References should always include a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) reference when possible. 

Please use either British or American English spelling style consistently throughout your manuscript.
