NSfK 60 years – Jubilee Issue of Nordisk Tidsskrift for Kriminalvidenskab (NTfK)

NSfK 60 år – vilka frågor ställer framtidens nordiska kriminologer?

År 2022 fyller Nordiska samarbetsrådet för kriminologi (NSfK) 60 år. Jubileumsåret kommer att uppmärksammas på flera olika sätt. Ett centralt inslag kommer naturligtvis NSfKs Forskarseminarium våren 2022 att vara.

Inför 50 års firandet publicerades bland annat en översikt där vi passade på att se tillbaka på NSfK och den nordiska kriminologins historia. Vi bygger vidare på det och vill nu uppmärksamma var vi befinner oss och framförallt blicka framåt och synliggöra de frågor som forskare ser som angelägna att ägna sig åt många år framöver. Vi i rådet tänker att ett utmärkt sätt att belysa detta är att vända oss till er som just nu skriver, eller nyligen blivit färdiga med, en avhandling som utgått från en kriminologisk frågeställning.

Målsättningen är att i början av 2022 publicera en jubileumsvolym i Nordisk tidsskrift for Kriminalvidenskab (NTfK) där alla ni som ägnar år med att skriva en avhandling kortfattat beskriver valet av er forskningsfråga. Vi kommer förstås vara särskilt nyfikna på hur ni ser på er frågas betydelse för vår framtida nordiska kriminalpolitik.

I början av 2021 kommer NTfK:s redaktör Anette Storgaard göra en ”call for papers” riktad till er som är, eller nyligen varit, verksamma i en nordisk forskarutbildning i kriminologi. Vi inkluderar förstås också er som skriver en avhandling inom ramen för annan vetenskaplig disciplin men har en kriminologisk utgångspunkt. Eftersom vi ser framför oss ett stort intresse att medverka i jubileumsvolymen kommer varje text att vara kort (5-10 sidor). Vår ambition är att detta ska bli såväl en tryckt skrift och en open access digital version. Allt för att era texter ska få så stor spridning som möjligt.

NSfK 60 years – which questions do the future Nordic criminologists raise?

In 2022, the Nordic Research Council for Criminology (NSfK) celebrates 60 years. The jubilee year will be celebrated in several ways, the central activity of the year of course being the NSfK’s Research Seminar that is planned to be held in the spring of 2022.

For the 50th anniversary celebrations a report and a book were published, giving an overview of NSfK throughout the years and of the history of Nordic criminology. Building further on this overview, we now want to focus on where we stand right now and, above all, look ahead and direct the attention to issues that researchers see as important for the years to come. The members of the Council for NSfK see that an excellent way to shed light on this is to turn to you who are currently writing, or recently have finished, a dissertation based on a criminological question.

The goal is to publish a jubilee volume of the journal Nordisk Tidsskrift for Kriminalvidenskab (NTfK) at the beginning of 2022, where you who spend years writing a dissertation briefly describe the choice of your research question. We are of course particularly curious about how you view the relevance of your question for the future Nordic criminal policy.

At the beginning of 2021, the Editor for NTfK, Anette Storgaard will issue a Call for papers aimed at those of you who are, or have recently been, active in a Nordic PhD-student program in criminology. We will of course also welcome contributions from you, who are writing a dissertation with a criminological perspective within the framework of an other scientific discipline. As we foresee quite an interest in participating in the Jubilee volume, each text will be short (5-10 pages). Our ambition is to publish a printed journal as well as an open access digital version. This as to enable your texts reaching out as widely as possible.
